Water Treatment — 12 Protected Cabinets
Water Treatment
Un traitement des eaux en Hauts-de-France
Site constraint
The client operates, on behalf of the local authority, a water treatment center that produces 3,250,000 m³ per year to supply the territory. Service continuity depends on the electrical cabinets that control, among other things, boreholes, lifting pumps, and tanks. A fire outbreak in one of them would expose the operator to a distribution interruption.
Constraints:
- Continuous operation, with no possibility of prolonged shutdown of the facilities.
- Some cabinets are installed outdoors, requiring a system that functions identically regardless of cabinet location.
Our response
Twelve Reflexofeu automatic detection and suppression systems were deployed in two phases across all borehole, lifting, and reservoir cabinets. Suppression occurs inside the cabinet without requiring system modifications for outdoor cabinets. Dry contacts from each system are integrated into the site’s central supervision, enabling real-time alerts and immediate intervention by the operator.
Result
A third phase is planned. The operator also intends to extend protection to the cabinets of four additional reservoirs in the territory.
